Colby Law (Harlequin Intrigue Series #1347)

Colby Law - Debra Webb Relaxing Sunday read. Good mix of mystery and romance.
Obsession - Carol Ericson Relaxing Saturday read. Good mix of mystery and romance.
Flash of Death - Cindy Dees Just what I needed to read at this point in my life. I liked the characters and I could really relate to the heroine.

Deadly Reckoning (Harlequin Romantic Suspense Series #1698)

Deadly Reckoning - Elle James Surprisingly better than what I was expecting. Good writing reference. Also want to check out more stories in this line.
The Devil Who Tamed Her - Johanna Lindsey Entertaining read. Heroine much more likable in this story than the first of the series. Loved the romance; the kisses were very lovely. Liked the horse race scene best.
Hearts in Darkness - Laura Kaye Really sensual kisses. My favorite was the apartment lobby.
Seduced by the Vampire King (Vampire Warrior Kings, #2) - Laura Kaye This story had many of the same themes and characteristics of the first narrative of this series. I enjoyed this one just as much as the first story. Both are extremely sensual and has great intimate, emotional connections between the characters. I liked watching the heroine's reactions and her possessive/protective/nurturing tendencies towards the hero. The world the author has created in these short little narratives, sounds like a really interesting universe. It is quite possibly one of my favorite interpretations of supernatural beings, vampires, that I've come across. I'm also a big fan of the Queen of the Damned and Vampire Diaries universes.

Unmistakable unresolved sexual tension. Extremely sexual, sensual, and arousing. This is my new favorite author.

Rating: 5.0/5.0 -- Favorite, most certainly.
In the Service of the King (Vampire Warrior Kings, #1) - Laura Kaye I thoroughly enjoyed this story and had warm fuzzes throughout the entire narrative. It was extremely sensual and featured many characteristics and themes I look for in escapist novels: vampires, "fated-to-be-mated," realistic emotionally intimate love scenes, possessive/protective hero, alpha male, heroine who is both submissive and fierce, happy ending, etc. It was an extremely lovely way to spend a gloomy Friday afternoon. I was also impressed by the character development for such a short story. I really liked Kael's backstory: lost a love in his past and is hesitant about a new love interest even if and when his whole being yearns for it. From a complete superficial point of view, I was also quite fond of Kael's physical appearance. I like long hair and tattoos are very sexy. Just plain loved the physically, mentally strong while emotionally vulnerable dichotomy.

Rating: 5.0/5.0 -- Definite favorite.
Cranford - Elizabeth Gaskell, Patricia Ingham Inspirational; if we could all aspire to be as selfless as Miss Mattie, the world would be a much nicer place.
100 Dastardly Little Detective Stories - Robert H. Weinberg;Stefan R. Dziemianowicz Some stories were good, some were confusing, and others I just didn't like.
Eragon - Christopher Paolini First read: jun 16, 2007.
Second read: April 29, 2013.

Forever (Wolves of Mercy Falls Series #3)

Forever (The Wolves of Mercy Falls #3) - Maggie Stiefvater Sam and Cole are the best! <3
The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane - Katherine Howe

My Jesus Year: A Rabbi's Son Wanders the Bible Belt in Search of His Own Faith - Benyamin Cohen To sum it up: it's good to learn about other faiths to grow/understand your own and to also be respectful of others and their beliefs/rituals.
Just One Night - Kathryn Shay Pro(s):
*Loved the character growth between the characters; between Zach and his family as well as between Annie and Zach

*Very sweet love story; a nice entertainment on a rainy day

Con(s):
*Not too fond of Zach cheating on Annie--never very fond of adultery; the event was also never really expounded upon afterwards, both were too hurt by it to really discuss it farther than acknowledging it happened

*I think Zach and Annie rushed into marriage too fast the first time; they should have worked out most of their problems when they were dating. In fact there wasn't much of a back story with their early days; just little snippets into their many disagreements.
